How much does an audit of your Italian website cost?

Methodology · Version 1.0 · Published October 6, 2026 · Updated October 6, 2026 · by Alessio Di Rubbo

An audit of your website’s Italian costs €690 for a company website with up to 8 URLs, €990 for an online shop with up to 20 URLs and from €1,490 for marketplaces and platforms. These are fixed prices, excluding VAT, delivered in 7 or 12 working days. This page sets out what you get, what is left out and what moves a website into the next package.

The three packages

The price depends on scope, not on hours: you know what you will pay before work starts.

Package For Scope Price (excl. VAT) Delivery
Essential Audit company website, B2B landing page, professional firm up to 8 URLs, about 5,000 words €690 7 working days
E-commerce Audit online shop with catalogue and checkout up to 20 URLs, selected by page template €990 12 working days
Platform Audit marketplace, seller portal, app, UI strings defined after the first call from €1,490 agreed in the quote

In the E-commerce Audit the 20 URLs usually cover the homepage, 3 category pages, 5 product pages, cart, checkout, transactional emails, the legal footer and error messages. I pick the sample with you, based on which pages bring traffic and revenue.

What you get

Every package includes the same four deliverables. Only their size changes.

  1. Excel file of findings. For each issue you get the URL, the original text, the problem, the category (one of the 6 in my audit methodology), the severity (critical, medium, minor), the proposed correction and the reason. You can pass it straight to whoever manages your content.
  2. PDF report of 4 to 6 pages. It contains a summary for decision makers, the breakdown of errors by category and severity, the 10 fixes to make first and a mini glossary of 15 to 30 terms to use consistently.
  3. Walkthrough call. 30 minutes for the Essential Audit, 45 minutes for the other packages. I take you through the critical findings and answer your team’s questions.
  4. 14 days of questions by email after delivery, while you work through the corrections.

What is not included

The audit is a diagnosis based on a sample, not a full revision of the website. A shop with 2,000 product pages has only a few templates: if 5 product pages show the same error, the error sits in the template or in the translation workflow, and you fix it once.

So the price does not include:

  • rewriting or correcting every page of the website;
  • translating new content;
  • entering the corrections into your CMS;
  • a re-check after the corrections, available as an add-on for €190.

If you want a sense of where your Italian stands before deciding, start with the free review of one page and a 30-minute call.

What changes the price

Five factors decide which package your website needs. The number of pages matters less than you might expect.

Factor Stays in the package Moves to the next package
Page templates 3 to 4 page types cart, customer account, filters, configurators
Legal and payment texts standard footer and privacy policy your own terms of sale, returns, warranties
Source language one (English or German) texts translated partly from English, partly from German
Interface web pages UI strings, app, seller portal
Emails and notifications 2 to 3 transactional emails automated sequences, push, SMS

In the first call I look at the website with you and tell you which package fits. The agreed price also covers small changes: up to 2 extra URLs in the Essential Audit and up to 4 in the E-commerce Audit. If more pages are needed, I let you know before going further and you decide: each extra URL costs €60, or we move to the next package if that works out better for you.

Delivery times

The Essential Audit takes 7 working days, the E-commerce Audit 12. The clock starts when I have the agreed list of URLs and, where needed, access to protected areas such as checkout or customer accounts.

For platforms, the timing depends on the number of strings and flows. I set it in the quote, together with the price. If you have a deadline, such as a launch in Italy, mention it in your first email and I will tell you straight away whether I can meet it.

After the audit

With the Excel file your team or agency can fix the errors on their own. Many problems come back with every new piece of content, though: product pages, campaigns, interface updates.

If you want your Italian to stay checked over time, I also offer ongoing review with an agreed monthly volume. We can discuss it in the walkthrough call, with the audit results in front of you, or you can book a call for a quote.
